When you book a room at the beautiful and historic Glidden House in Cleveland’s University Circle, you can expect a complimentary breakfast included with your accommodations. You’ve probably never had a hotel breakfast so delicious.
We have always cherished the time we spend with our guests over breakfast. The loggia, library, and parlour, which now serve as our dining areas, are some of the most detailed spaces of the Glidden House. We decided it was time to turn that same detailed care to our menu. Our guests can now enjoy personalized servings of delicious new menu items each morning.
As the most important meal of the day, breakfast should be served hot and with style. Guests of the Glidden House are invited to gather daily for a complimentary breakfast buffet. This is not the typical continental breakfast you’re to find at other hotels. Served in the original loggia, library, and parlour, you will receive personalized service from our friendly staff in a grand setting along with all the hot and cold breakfast staples you need to fuel your day. Plus, you can look forward to a few unexpected options that even the most discriminating palates are sure to love.
Palette Lounge
Whether it’s been a long day of meetings and business transactions in one of our meeting spaces or you took to the streets sightseeing and exploring the grounds of Case Western Reserve University and University Circle, you’re sure to need a little refreshment. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, look no further than the Palette Lounge at the Glidden House.
Relax and grab a signature drink as you meet with old friends and make new ones. Located in our intimate lobby lounge area, Palette Lounge is open daily starting at 4 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday.

Many visitors choose to visit us at the Glidden House because of our prime location in the heart of University Circle. - L’Albatros features delicious daily specials as well as an extensive selection of cheese and wine offerings. Located in an old carriage house on the campus of Case Western Reserve University, you’ll find this quaint French brasserie just steps from the Glidden House.
- Etna Little Italy is an Italian restaurant and wine bar with a cozy “Old World” atmosphere. All of the original and contemporary dishes are prepared fresh, and there are daily seafood specials.
- Maxi’s Bistro Nestled in the heart of Cleveland’s Historic Little Italy, Maxi’s embodies a vibrant atmosphere and a welcoming ambiance.
- Plum Market Recently open and located on Euclid Ave this is a Kitchen and Cafe featuring made-to-order sandwiches and more made with locally grown ingredients.
